IPL hair removal - permanent hair removal

IPL hair removal (Intense Pulsed Light) is the fastest and most effective way to permanently remove hair growth. In the treatment, a cooling gel is applied to the skin and the skin is illuminated with visible and infrared light. The light reaches the hair follicle and heats it to about 70°C, which leads to the destruction of the protein in the hair cells and follicles. The effect of IPL targets dark hairs, because they contain pigment. Therefore, blond/white hairs cannot be removed.

IPL hair removal is suitable for many different skin and hair types, and it can be used versatilely, for example, to remove hair from the face, armpits, legs or arms. The treatment is quick, painless and especially suitable for sensitive skin.

In most areas of the body, 20-30% of the hair is in the growing phase (except for the hair, where 90% is in the growing phase) and it is these hair follicles that are destroyed during epilation. Usually, 3-6 treatments are needed for IPL hair removal to achieve complete hairlessness in the treated area. The treatment interval is at least 3 weeks. Before the treatment, the hair should be shaved or cut (the length of the hair may be max. 3 mm). If the hair has been removed with tweezers or wax, you should wait 2 weeks before the treatment. Then the hair has grown to a suitable length.

After hair removal, the treated area may feel warm, but returns to normal within a few hours. Saunas or sunbathing should be avoided for a few days after the treatment.
